Now that you have your blog, lets learn how to post something to your blog.

Step One: Go to your main page on your blog.

Step Two: On the top right corner of your web page find the words “New Post”, “Customize”, and “Sign Out”. Once you have located these words, click on “New Post”.

Step Three: After you click on “New Post” a new page will appear that looks like this…

Step Four: Add a title to your blog post.

Step Five: Type in the message you want to post to your blog.

Step Six: Above where you typed your text there is a tool bar where you can change your font, size of your font, make your font bold or italicized, color your font, add links, adjust the alignment of your font, add number or bullet list, add block quotes, check spelling, add image, add video, and remove formatting from selection.

Step Seven: If you want to add an image, click on the “Add Image” button. It is the one directly to the right of the “Check Spelling” button.

Step Eight: Once you have clicked on the “Add Image” button, a new page will pull up that looks like this…

Step Nine: To choose a image from your computer, click the “Choose File” button located below the words “Add an image from your computer”. Once you have clicked the “Choose File” button, locate the picture you want to upload into your blog.

Step Ten: Once you have chosen your picture and clicked on the “Choose” button in the bottom right corner, you will be brought back to this page…

Step Eleven: Once you get to that page, click on the orange “Upload Image” button located at the bottom of the screen. Once you have clicked he “Upload Image” button, a new page will appear that looks like this…

Step Twelve: After the page pulls up, click on the blue “Done” button located at the bottom left part of your screen. A new screen will then pull up showing the picture you selected posted into your blog post.

Step Thirteen: Once you get your blog post looking exactly as you want it to look, click on the orange “Publish Post” button located at the bottom left part of your screen.

Step Fourteen: After you have clicked on the “Publish Post” button, a new page will pop up stating that “Your blog post published successfully!” Once you see this page, click on the blue “View Post” button to view your post on your main blog page.

Step Fifteen: View your new post on your blog!

You can use this function to post pictures of class activities, student spotlights, or even videos of classroom projects.  You can be creative.  Post things that your parents and students are interested in to help created a better home-classroom relationship.
